EIFS Repair Cost

EIFS Repair Cost

So, how much does a typical EIFS Repair Cost ?

The thing about a Synthetic Stucco repair is that there is no such thing as a typical repair when it comes to Exterior Insulation and Finish System. Each repair is completely different. There are no two the same. It is very hard to estimate how much a repair is going to cost. It is impossible to tell how much damage may be behind the system. If moisture got behind the system and damaged the wood back there. The Synthetic Stucco surface coat hides the damages very well. For that reason we always recommend having some moisture testing done before we give a quote. Otherwise, it is going to be somewhat of an open ended quote.

There are several different types of repairs:

  • missing kick out flashing
  • cracks and flaking
  • failing caulk
  • failures at grade
  • remove and replace
  • minor and major moisture damage including structural damage

Repairs are something you really have to look at to price. You can never tell until you get there and see what everything entails before you can price it. If you would like someone to come out and take a look at your project call Corey Turcotte at 888-407-2609. We service Southeastern Michigan including Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Franklin, Farmington Hills, Troy, Sterling Heights, Shelby Township and surrounding areas. eifs repair cost

Dryvit Stucco Repair

Dryvit Stucco Repair

Dryvit Stucco Repair in Southeast Michigan

We have be doing repairs in Southeastern MI for over 26 years. The most important think when it comes to Synthetic Stucco is doing it right the first time. When that doesn’t happen we are there to pick up the pieces and put them back together again. One of the hardest things in the construction industry in general is to fix something that someone else made a mess of. With Exterior Insulation and Finish System it is very difficult to know exactly how much damage there is behind the system. If moisture penetrates the system it can cause damage because the moisture can get trapped without any air flow which can cause the wood to rot. Back about 20 years ago the system was much different. Back then there was no way for the moisture to drain. Now there is a drainage system to allow the moisture to escape. What we have now is a bunch of projects that were done in the 80’s and 90’s that had the old system that are failing now. Dryvit has taken some major steps to ensure the new projects being done today will drain moisture and not fail in the future. One of the most important thing they have done is to incorporate a training and an dryvit stucco repairaccountability program for the applicators. Nowadays, you have to be a certified applicator to even buy the product, which has helped a lot. If you have a project in the Southeastern Michigan that needs repairs or your home is clad with EIFS and it needs repairs we would like to come out and give you a free quote. We have specialized in Dryvit stucco repair for the past 12 years and have been in the industry for over 26 years.

Why most EIFS contractors are doing it wrong

Why are most EIFS contractors are doing it wrong

There is a very simple reason why most EIFS contractors are doing it wrong

The main reason EIFS contractors are not doing EIFS the right way is that it cost a lot more money to do it right. There are a hundred things you could leave off, and not even do on an EIFS job to make your life easier as a contractor. Treating the windows and doors before the foam is stuck is a very time consuming job, not to mention the cost of using all the right material. Read more Why most EIFS contractors are doing it wrong

EIFS Sign Attachment Specification

An overview of the EIFS Sign Attachment Specification

In this post we will take a look at the EIFS Sign Attachment Specification. It is not to often an EIFS guy will be there for the sign install, but I had to post this specification as almost every sign area that I am repairing has been installed wrong by the sign company, when it comes to installing over EIFS anyway. EIFS Termination at Parapet Specification

EIFS Termination at Parapet Specification

An overview of the EIFS Termination at Parapet Specification

In this post we are going to talk about the EIFS Termination at Parapet Specification. I have been doing EIFS for a long time and when we are out on repairs it seems like this is one of those things that is almost never done correctly. The proper way to terminate a parapet is to apply Dryvit’s Aqua Flash over the entire top of the parapet and down both sides at least 2″. Read more EIFS Termination at Parapet Specification

EIFS Liquid Moisture Barrier

EIFS Liquid  Moisture Barrier

An in depth look at EIFS Liquid Moisture Barrier
